DESCRIPTION:
Vasant Panchami, Saraswati Puja or the Basant Festival of Kites marks the beginning of Holi, the holy season for both Sikh and Hindu faiths. The signature color of this event is yellow, and it is one of two spring festivals in the Hindu faith. This festival pays tribute to Maa Saraswati, the goddess of learning, wisdom, knowledge, fine arts, refinement, science and technology and occurs 40 days prior to Holi. Vasant Panchami is a popular celebration for tourists with its animated display of children flying kites.
